This was a relatively short trip to Las Vegas for our Canadian friend Brian's birthday celebration. There was a big group and we had a lot of fun!
I had an early morning flight out on Friday. I discovered that the airport Shake Shack has a very good breakfast sandwich for rather decent price. ($5.99) My flight was on time and uneventful.Brian had a cabana at the Sahara pool courtesy of his host and we all enjoyed that Friday afternoon.
The cabanas have their own plunge pools, which were nice as you did not have to walk far to get in the water.
After waiting all day for my room it was finally ready around 5pm. Not sure what the hold up was. The room was very nice and clean though. Almost the whole group had rooms at the Sahara. I think this was my first time staying there.

Saturday morning Deanna and I had breakfast at Zeffer's at the Sahara. It was OK, but I would not call it destination dining.
Played slots after breakfast and most of the afternoon with a few wins here and there.
I had a $100 food comp at Fountainbleau so Deanna and I went to Komodo for dinner. It was a kind of trendy clubby sushi restaurant. The food, service and drinks were all very good. I had a Thai mai tai to start. Japanese milk bread
hamachi serrano
rainbow roll
fried chicken
fried rice
after dinner we briefly played slots, I had a nice wheel win!

I had breakfast at Zeffer's again on Sunday morning before we packed up and headed to the El Cortez for a couple nights.El Co room was fine as always
Deanna, Brian and I had an early dinner/ late lunch at Siegel's.
Deanna and I played quite a bit of blackjack Sunday night at El Cortez and some video poker as well. We had a very fun table! Monday morning I believe we went to Magnolia's at Four Queens for breakfast.
I had a great little Wheel win at Circa!
Deanna, Brian and I walked down to Circa for food at Victory Burger as we all had food comps available. I had the nachos. I had breakfast on Tuesday at Siegel's before heading to the airport. Also, I took the El co shuttle to the airport and it was great. They have a black suburban that is free for hotel guests to take to the airport. My flight home was fine, on time, etc.
This was a very fun trip with a big group. I enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward to seeing everyone again in Las Vegas!
