Las Vegas Trip Report - August 16-19.2024 - The one with the Killers Residency

This was a very, very quick solo trip to see The Killers residency at Caesars Palace. My first solo trip as well. I had to squeeze it in before the run of shows ended and the MN State Fair started.

I booked Planet Hollywood as it was the nicest Caesars property I could book on my Caesars comps and Wyndham points for the entire stay. It was OK. The room looked decent but the wallpaper was peeling everywhere and the floors were not very clean. But it was fine overall.

My flight arrived fairly early around 11am and was able to check in right away, which was great. I headed over to Cosmo for lunch at Tekka bar. Great, as always.
I played a Cosmo a bit and then headed downtown to play a few slots and wander around.
I headed back to PH and got ready for the show. I think I just walked over to Caesars.
I had dinner before the show at Nobu eat Caesars. Smoked old fashioned to start.
crispy rice
show ticket
jalapeno yellowtail
albacore chili ponzu

seat was right by sound booth
the stage was very, very Vegasy. Fantastic!

The show was amazing and I had the best time!

early morning in Las Vegas from my room
Saturday morning I had breakfast at The Henry at the Cosmo. Scored a seat at the bar pretty easily. After breakfast I went back to the Diamond check in at PH to ask how to get tickets for Saturday night's Killers show since Friday was so much fun. Once the box office opened I was able to get a single ticket.
I had lunch at Victory Burger at Circa and played a few slots downtown afterwards. Headed back to PH to freshen up and then went over to Cosmo to play some video poker and did pretty well.
Walked thru the Bellagio on my way over to Caesars Palace.

I went to Nobu again and sat by a couple ladies going to the show as well who were very fun.
I was able to get better photos the second night as I knew what to expect a bit. My seat was off to the side but lower level, so still a great view.

I had breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi on Sunday morning.

wandered around the pool areas at PH. Kind of underwhelming.

I made the rounds from Palms to Resorts Wold to downtown. I had a bit of free play to burn at both.
I had a late lunch or early dinner at Viva at Resorts World. The happy hour is a pretty good deal and the quesadillas are quite good.

disco bathroom at RW
I went downtown to Main Street Station to play a bit of video poker at Boar Bar. I had three straight flushes on this trip, which was kind of unusual. I headed back to PH and played a bit more there.
A sliver of the Sphere as seen from my PH room.
Monday morning I had breakfast at Cafe Hollywood at Planet Hollywood. I just sat at the bar.
Not sure what this was from, but it seems fitting.

I really enjoyed my first solo trip. The time went by very quickly, as to always does in Vegas and I didn't get bored being alone. Vegas is definitely ideal for a solo traveler and I'll go solo again.
