Way, way back in May we headed up to North Dakota for our nephew's graduation from high school. We didn't have to be in Grand Forks until Saturday, so we decided to stop in Fargo on Friday night to break up the driving a bit. We stayed at the Radisson Blu in downtown Fargo. It was newly remodeled and in a nice location right downtown, so we could walk to a variety of restaurants and bars. Too bad I totally forgot to take photos of the room. Off my game.
We decided on the Toasted Frog for dinner. Reservations were not necessary, we were able to walk in and be seated right away. John had the steak frites.I had the walleye piccata with pan fried walleye, capers, shallots, garlic, lemon juice, and butter, with rice pilaf and veggie du jour. Excellent dish and the sauce was very flavorful.
The food was sold and worth the wait. It was also very affordably priced with large portions.
very good pancakes
basic breakfasts for both of us
Graduation weekend was a success and we had a nice trip. These days, it is nice to go anywhere, even North Dakota! : )
